This week has been a big win for young Canadians in hip hop. First PartyNextDoor released his eponymous debut tape , then Brampton’s Wondagurl Beats being featured producer on Jay-Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail (“Crown) and now Raz Fresco. Fresco recently released a new single from his upcoming double album, Pablo/Frescobar.
Produced by Pro Era‘s Chuck Stangers, Fresco’s newest track “Notoriously” remains consistent with the other dope productions Chuck has conjured up for his Pro Era counterparts. Raz’s stop and go flow really sits well on the beat and has listeners unconsciously focused on what the 18 year old has to say.
In a short time Raz has built quite the resume producing for Big Sean, Mac Miller, French Montana and others while at the same time searching for emerging talent to join his Bakers Club collective, not to mention accomplishing all of this while still in high school. His upcoming double album is rumor to include notable features. It will be great to see what this young artist has up his sleeves. Until then stream “Notoriously” below.
