Rome Fortune represents the more artsy side of Atlanta trap music; his music is produced by the usual who’s who of ATL trap producers—Childish Major (of “U.O.E.N.O.” fame), Dun Deal and C4 (who have produced for Gucci Mane, Young Thug, and Migos), and DJ Spinz (who has hosted tapes for Gucci, Cash Out, Travis Porter, Young Scooter, and many more)—but it has a certain aesthetic that is unique only to him. Fortune’s Beautiful Pimp mixtape was well received despite being heavily slept on, and brought new life to a somewhat overplayed narrative. Now, the rapper returns with his new single—and the video for that single—“Grind.” The catchy record is produced by Hustle Gang production team FKi, and it features the Atlanta MCs now signature spacey sound. The video was directed by Goodwin, and it showcases Fortune’s unkempt beard, a blender, and several stellar shots of skylines and beautiful women. Peep the visuals below, and stay tuned to find out where this cut will end up.
