Armand Pena has been creating music since the ’90s, positioning himself in the vast sounds of house music. Hailing from Miami, he continues to press the boundaries of South Beach’s house scene with his innovation and technical skill. From hard-hitting electro inspired productions to deep soothing progressive outputs, Pena brings listeners the true boundless nature of genre through precise production.
His latest creation “I Get Droned” follows suite, giving us a symphony of synth-driven percussion to start, before moving into the sounds progressive house midway through. Adding jazz-inspired cascading piano chords and a pitched down vocal sample spouting “I get deep, but I love it when I get droned,” Pena picks up the tempo once again before closing the 6-minute escapade. Out on Size Records tomorrow, Pena will be testing the decks with “I Get Droned” at his Miami residency at Nikki Beach, before heading up to Tampa.
