As you know, beat making has been around for a very long time. Stemming from multiple genres, it has taken unpredictable paths that eventually push the boundaries of music even further. Too many casual listeners, it’s all a blur. But for us beat heads, we know that change is coming. There is a small yet powerful movement coming from the underground beatsmiths from around the world. It’s a scene in which it’s hard to describe, because it infuses so many different elements from various genres. Talrite is a relatively unknown producer, though his tunes has made waves large enough to catch our attention.
His resumè includes sounds with a heavy organic hip-hop style glazed with experimental ambient. Downtempo, trap, lo-fi, you name it. Like I said, many different elements. He is also quite the sample monster, chopping and rearranging them into some intense lacings. One notable tune is “Love”, where Talrite samples “The Love Club” by Lorde. If you chose to browse through his SoundCloud, he has an impressive range of sounds and styles which is the mark of a diverse and exciting producer. Talrite’s first EP , Bckwards, was released September 2. The EP is an excellent gateway into Talrite’s sound haven. With wonderful samples and grooving beats, it showcases his developing style and skill as a producer. Stream some of our favorite tunes by this young up and coming beatsmith.
