With all of the attention that the female trio Haim have garnered in the past few months they seem to be on an inclining plane, becoming the type of act that will draw attention to any track they are featured on. All the while the acclaimed Seattle folk artists Fleet Foxes have been laying somewhat dormant until now. With many of their fans speculating that they have their third album in the works they released a cover of “Don’t Save Me” today, proving that their creative juices are flowing freely.
While Haim’s “Don’t Save Me” was released last year, Fleet Foxes manage to rejuvenate the track by providing their mellow touch that always exudes emotion through the subtleties in both the instrumentation and harmonious vocals. Throughout the vocals provide strain that plays off of the lightly plucked acoustic guitar creating a cover that is much more relaxed then the original.
