It’s true, we’ve heard a lot of remixes of Martin Solveig’s “Hey Now” over the past few months, and they’ve all been the kind that slap you across the face with how festival-geared they are. Now today, we have American producer Pierce Fulton stepping in to mix things up a little as he so often does, giving us a look at his take on the track. Out later this month on Dance (RED), Save Lives 2, a compilation album whose proceeds will go to fighting AIDS, Fulton’s take on “Hey Now” has a melodic tone that chills out the tongue-and-cheek literalness of the original, making the track a little more appealing to listeners who feel guilty loving a song that screams “pop music.”
