Parisian producer and co-founder Julia Losfelt of the recently born record label Moose Records is on the move with her newest EP called Quiet Storm. For those who haven’t heard of Moose Records, they revolve around the chilled out scene and tempo. They have already seen support by big names like Dream Koala and Bear//Face who are also in partner with Andrea Moonchild, the other co-founder. Given the artists, it’s easy to conjure an idea of what sound they’re shooting for.
We first heard a sneak peek of the EP several months ago with the under the radar tune called “Away“. Her glossy vocals and chilled out production style really hits the spot if you’re looking for something to listen to while you are in a deep meditative state. Quiet Storm is no different, but showcases more dynamic sounds. You’ll find “Up Today” and “Quiet Storm” quite chilling yet majestic. Airiness within the songs is quickly becoming Losfelt’s trademark sound and the main ingredient in putting together a relaxing yet haunting recipe. Both Dream Koala and Bear//Face make a remix cameo of “Up Today”, along with a remix by the up and coming producer Stwo, the newest signee to HuhWhat&Where Recordings.
