Tiësto prepares to release his third full artist album ‘Elements Of Life’ on Nebula Music featuring collaborations with Maxi Jazz (Faithless) Jes (Motorcycle) Christian Burns (BBMak) Julie Thompson (Holden & Thompson) and Charlotte Martin.
For those not already familiar here’s a ‘dummies guide to…’ Tiësto**
- The only DJ to be voted Number 1 DJ in the world three years running by ‘industry standard’ DJ Magazine Top 100 Poll.
- The first solo DJ to sell out a 25,000 seat stadium two nights running.
- The only DJ ever to be asked to perform at an Olympic ceremony (Athens, 2004).
- Tiësto is a member of the Order of the Oranje Nassau in Holland (Paul Oakenfold receiving a knighthood is the British parallel).
- The first DJ to perform in front of 200,000 fans (January, 2007, Ipanema Beach, Brazil)
- His single, Traffic, was the first instrumental to reach the Dutch number one spot for 23 years.
- His remix of Delerium’s ‘Silence’ was the first house (house?) record to gain daytime radio airplay in the US for over a decade.
- Has toured the US with David Bowie and Moby as part of their ‘Area 2’ Stadium tour
- Tiësto is world ambassador for Dance4Life, an AIDS project.
To coincide with the album launch will be a full ‘Elements Of Life’ World Tour with four UK shows taking place throughout 2007 in Kings Hall, Belfast (31st March) Alexandra Palace, London (20th April) The Point, Dublin (Date TBA) and The Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh (Date TBA) all of which will feature spectacular stage shows and breathtaking production all based around the four key elements of life: Air, Water, Earth & Fire.
