Two artists who remain in the spotlight, both representing different subgenres, may be joining forces to form electronic music’s biggest side project. We are talking about dubstep poster boy Skrillex, who can’t seem to stay out of the headlines, and acid house maestro Boys Noize, who has recently announced his upcoming album.
The reported super-producer tag-team will be dubbed Dogblood, and will be experimenting with genres for a sound that has been referred to as ’300% break-acid-tech-noise.’ The first release from Dogblood will be an EP with the tracks “Middle Finger” and “Next Order,” set to drop on both Boys Noize Records and OWSLA this month. Sure to be something special, let us know what you think about two of electronic music’s power players uniting for Dogblood.
