After a little bit of an unexpected hiatus, we’re back with an absolutely massive edition of The Club. I know you guys want to get your weekends started, so I’ll keep this short so you can enjoy the music. A big thanks to Colin and Jamie for their help, and don’t forget to support your favorite artists!
Dido End Of Night (Cedric Gervais Remix) RCA Label Group 2013-05-06
I’m not sure there’s a twenty or thirty-something in the English speaking world who doesn’t fondly remember Dido‘s “Here With Me” or “Thank You”. Both tracks, the latter of which became “Stan” with Eminem, launched a successful, though sporadic, career for the British singer. 14 years after her first album dropped, her 4th, Girl Who Got Away, released just back in March. Remixing the second single from this work, today Miami favorite Cedric Gervais takes “End Of Night” to task. Dido’s lyrics are used sparingly, and the remix carries on with more minimal structure and a slappy synth melody.
I do not know what they are putting in the water in Canada, but that country up north is churning out some of the best house music producers around. Jed Harper & Northend have released the ultimate progressive house track to lead us into the summer. “You & Me” featuring the vocals of Lincoln Blache released on the Toronto based label Provoke is the perfect blend of melodic and hard hitting house music. The combination of Blache‘s uplifitng vocals and Jed Harper & Northend’s climatic drop make this track a force to be reckon with.

We recently featured Irish producer Reuben Keeney’s latest EP, Solar. Just after we had enough time to play that track on repeat for a few days, we got word that he released a new track on Dim Mak Records New Noise, Vol 4, that features the best in up and coming talent like himself. On his track “We Do it Big,” we get to see a new side of Keeney’s musical talent: one that ventures into electro house. The track proves why he was chosen to be featured on this compilation; “We Do it Big” is chock full of energy and an influence that sounds like it came from both hip hop and his club experience.
Revealed Records superstar Dyro unleashed one of his best tracks to date with “Leprechauns & Unicorns.” Combining progressive and old school house elements, Dyro takes this track to a whole by involving a variety of pitches and constant changing of tempos. The song builds with great tension before reaching a euphoric climax, which leads into a earth shattering drop. This Dutch artist is definitely one of my favorite acts to watch for in 2013.
Last week the man voted as the number one DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren released his first artist album in two years. The Dutch veteran has described this album as something really different from what he’s done in the past, and Intense has proved to be an absolute masterpiece that caters to those who might not normally listen to his dark emotive trance style. Featuring collaborations with electric violinist Miri Ben-Ari, Aussie duo NERVO and vocalists that include Laura V., who we haven’t heard from since his blowout hit “Drowning.” Check out our favorite tracks below, but this one is worth purchasing the whole album.
