Welcome back for Week 53 of The Club, where we continue to bring you the best in progressive club, electro house and house music from the past week that you might’ve missed. This week’s releases were marked with a decidedly larger presence of electro house, where even house producers like Robbie Rivera and Alex Kenji got their hands dirty with a little bit of a harder grind. Even labels like Armada who usually signs more classically progressive and trance productions has gone a little harder this week. We’re not all about electro this week, though, and have still included lots of diversity for your ears this weekend: enjoy!

Audien
Ciao

Trice Recordings
TRCR021

Nate Rathbun has proved to be a producer who can wear multiple hats. Born and raised in Connecticut, the producer also known as Audien has shown his fans that his talent is not limited to just one style of music, which has been proven again by his latest release “Ciao.” Out on Trice Recordings this week, “Ciao” is a rock-infused electro track that we’ll surely be hearing at festivals this summer. The most impressive part about Audien’s production style is that though this record is much harder than his usual style, it somehow still has the same personality that we all know and love him for.

Destructo
Higher (Remixes)

OWSLA

Tommy Trash is an Australian producer who just doesn’t follow the rules, and it’s to our benefit. This week he’s released a free download of his take on Destructo’s “Higher,” with the full remix EP out later this month (June 10th to be exact). In classic Trash style, “Higher” melds many genres to culminate in an impressive mix of disco house and electro. Unlike some of the other releases we’ve seen this week, this track is great for both the headphones and to hear live.

Alvaro & MOTi
NaNaNa

Hysteria Recs
HYS031

It’s no wonder “NaNaNa” is out on the Bingo Players’s label, Hysteria Records. Producers Alvaro and newcomer MOTi have paired up to release a massive electro house track, with banging  synths (literally) that is just meant to hear at a festival. The “Na Na Na” vocals contributing to the builds in this track also add a cheeky and suspense-building element, making this production a must-play this summer.

Boys Noize
Starwin

Boysnoize Records

After debuting an acid rap experimental track “Go Hard” just over a week ago, Boys Noize previewed the second track off his EP of the same name. “Starwin” is an ode to old-school disco with an acid twist, not unlike early era Daft Punk house tracks. We’re sure to be expecting more surprises off of this release, with the mystery tracks hinted to have techno analog influences. Check out the dates on the Go Hard tour to catch Alex’s new music in person.

Laidback Luke & Hardwell
Dynamo (Remixes)

Mixmash Records
MIXMA129

Occasionally you’ll come across a song you enjoy, but may not be made for everyday listening. “Dynamo” happens to be one such song, an all out dirty Dutch festival-pleaser that can verge on noxious when consumed in small spaces.  Though the production by Laidback Luke and Hardwell deservedly topped charts, Will Sparks‘ remix twists the banger into a Melbourne-infused ride through the soul of the original. From the newly echoing bell break, to an off-count synth melody, listeners can now enjoy the track from the comfort of your own home.
