It’s no surprise Kendrick Lamar’s controversial verse on the track “Control” is still making the news.  I mean after all, he did expose the entire genre of hip-hop with one verse.  This time we get a response from the relatively quiet Meek Mill as he gears up for the third installment of his Dreamchasers mixtape series on September 29^th. 

Meek raps over a remix of the classic Dr. Dre song “Forgot About Dre,” aiming his jabs directly at the self-proclaimed “King of New York.”  “Hov gave you 24, let you have that.  Man you claiming you the king of New York.  What the fuck wrong with you nigga, step back.”  Infused with the slogan of Vine sensation Terio’s dance moves, “Ooh Kill Em” is a decent comeback for the Philadelphia based rapper.  But the most interesting part of the song might come with his unique choice of a sample.  Kendrick just so happens to be signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Label. Coincidence, I think not.
