The inventive video production of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis has catapulted the rap duo into superstardom over the past year. Coming off the success of their album The Heist’s first three singles, “Thrift Shop,” “Can’t Hold Us,” and “Same Love,” the Seattle independents release their fourth single “White Walls” with some fun and zany scenes.
As if rapping on a pirate ship wasn’t enough, Mack incorporates some unique diversity in this video. Opening the project as a matador-dressed character named Mackie Jackson, the Wild West themed visuals include some interesting cameos from A$AP Rocky, Trinidad James, Wiz Khalifa, Big Boi, DJ Drama, and fellow Seattleite Sir Mix-a-Lot. Macklemore, Schoolboy Q and Hollis rhyme in a Cadillac, a pool full of old women, a tire shop, even on the roof of a local burger spot. It’s safe to say, they’ve done it again.
