Maryland rapper OG Dutch Master has just released his second mixtape of 2013, Blue Light District. The Baltimore native, whose previous project Art Of War was released at the beginning of the year, has dropped his latest ‘tape which seems to solidify his status as one of the best rappers in Maryland. The twelve track project includes production from the likes of CM$, Virtuoso The God and the late J Dilla alongside features from Jace (of Two9), Black Zheep DZ and more.
There are a couple of standout tracks, in my opinion, that makes Blue Light District a good mixtape to have in your collection. The opening track, “Dirty Diamonds”, features a deep Yung Jay beat that complements OG’s flow. The Dutch Master chose the smooth and soulful J Dilla instrumental “Last Donut of the Night” for his track “My Last O” and Virtuoso The God provides a bangin’ beat on “Knuckleheadz”, that is sure to get you nodding your head in appreciation. You can download this mixtape over at OG’s Soundcloud, and you can also pick up his previous effort Art Of War, over at Livemixtapes.
