Here is another contest for you aspiring producers and remixologists out there.  Remix a classic track from Dataless.  Good Luck.  Post links to your remix if you care to share with everyone else.

In 2002 K90 released one of his most popular anthems to date from the critically acclaimed album Urban Anthems. The track, Dreamer with its unforgettable vocal hook and catchy synth lines made it an instant favourite with many of the worlds biggest DJ’s and won the hearts and minds of hard trance fans across the globe.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of this classic K90 anthem, we’re offering all you budding producers out there a once in a lifetime opportunity to really put yourselves on the map by remixing the track.  

To get started simply Click Here to download your Dreamer Remix Kit and get cracking on your interpretation of the track.

Your mix can be in whatever style you want, as long as it’s dance then the top 3 remixes will be chosen to feature alongside a mix by K90 himself and released as a 4 track remix package in Autmn 2007.  

Please submit your entries to dreamer@datalessrecordings.com by either YouSendIt or small mp3 file (no bigger than 192kbps). If your mix is selected, arrangements will be made to obtain the wav file at a later date. All entries must be with us no later that August 31st 2007 with the winners being announced 2 weeks later on September 14th 2007.

Please Note: All samples contained within the Dreamer Remix Kit and any remixes made thereafter using the kit remain the property of Mark Doggett/K90/Dataless Recordings. No remix fee’s will be offered for your mixes but every effort will be made to promote you and your work which could provide a valuable springboard to a career in the music industry.

Just caught wind of this “DJ” contest but really it’s a remix contest. There don’t appear to be any DJing skills required. So enter away!! If you submit a mix be sure to post a comment here with the name so we can go take a listen and vote. Voting has already begun so get your remixes in there ASAP!!

At the start of the contest, you’ll pick 3 tracks from a unique genre - house, hip hop, and rock/alt. You’ll then mash ‘em, and upload your creative mix back to the site. You can upload a mix for each of the three genres for a better chance of winning! You’ll have 4 weeks to enter, and 4 weeks to get out the vote. Voting starts on May 21, 2007 so if your Mix isn’t up by then, you’ll have less time to collect points.

Six DJs make it through to the Finals to mashup one last time for two more weeks. 5 DJs receive runner up prizes and the Mix with the most voter points is the Grand Prize Winner. The contest is open to all hardware and software DJs, so go get your reward - enter now!
